Change exhibition
Change the Way We Work lists actions that exhibitors can take to reduce their carbon emissions.
The UK Film Council is working with the Cinema Exhibitors' Association to help exhibitors:
- Upskill and incentivise staff to be proactive in minimising energy use
- Promote more efficient lighting, heating and cooling through the use of low-energy bulbs and the introduction of intelligent software for energy management systems in cinemas
- Reduce waste and increase the proportion of waste that is re-cycled
- Maximise built-in energy efficiency at the planning stage for new cinemas
- Promote the use of public transport and optimise the integration of cinema operation with local authority transport planning.
