Completion funding
The New Cinema Fund can support feature film projects which have begun the production process but which require completion through post-production funding. There is no separate allocation for completion funding or cap on the number we can fund.
We receive a large number of applications for completion funding but we have limited funding and prioritise projects which have the best chance of securing a UK theatrical distributor.
Producers can apply at any stage of the production or post-production process as long as there is still creative work to be completed on the film, the film has not been screened at any film festival, and the picture is not 'locked'.
The New Cinema Fund is not able to provide funding where the application is for pure print and advertising costs. A project requiring funding for a digital grade and print, by way of example, would not be eligible for completion funding.
